How to apply for a Blue Badge
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has confirmed new rules are in place for people living in England or Wales on Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Disability Living Allowance for Children (DLAc) and Carer’s Allowance who permanently move to Scotland.
Before November 6, claimants automatically had their cases transferred to Social Security Scotland , which then paid the equivalent devolved benefit. These claimants were not required to make a new claim.
However, following the completion of case transfers to Social Security Scotland, people who move permanently from England or Wales to Scotland now need to make a new claim for the equivalent Scottish benefit .
