Let’s take a look at our updated College Football Playoff projections after Week 12.
Reminder: The 12-team CFP is made up of the five-highest ranked conference champions and seven at-large teams. First-round byes are no longer given to the four highest-ranked champs. In the new straight seeding format, byes go to the four highest-ranked teams.
Here’s what I’ve got after Week 12.
— Alabama’s loss to Oklahoma complicates the SEC championship picture. A&M can secure its spot with a win over Texas. And if it does, Alabama, Georgia and Ole Miss will be in a three-way tie for the second spot, assuming Alabama and Ole Miss beat Auburn and Mississippi State. It appears that favors Georgia right now. And if the Dawgs play A&M, I think they’d win.
