New Delhi, Nov 17 (UNI) The Indian Consulate in Jeddah has issued a statement regarding the tragic accident in Saudi Arabia, in which several Indian nationals are reported to have lost their lives.
The statement said that following the tragic accident involving a bus carrying Umrah pilgrims near Medina last night, a 24×7 control room has been set up at the Indian Consulate in Jeddah.
There are reports that dozens of Indian pilgrims lost their lives when a bus collided with a diesel tanker in the early hours of Monday in Saudi Arabia. Most of the victims are believed to be from Hyderabad, with reports indicating that at least 16 were residents of the Mallepally and Bazarghat areas.
