There will be a final pre-trial hearing on Monday in the Brian Walshe case , after the accused murderer was found competent to stand trial during an appearance at Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham, Massachusetts, on Friday.

The finding came after an evaluation period at Bridgewater State Hospital , following an attack on Walshe in jail that his lawyers said caused him distress.

With the clearance from clinicians, which Walshe's attorneys did not contest, Judge Diane Freniere is moving the case forward. Jury empanelment is expected to begin on Tuesday. The trial itself is expected to start on Dec. 1, after the Thanksgiving holiday.
