Sara Cox has announced her comeback to BBC Radio 2 just hours following her extraordinary fundraising marathon. ‌

The broadcasting star, 50, was overcome with emotion as she wrapped up a gruelling 135-mile Great Northern Marathon challenge for Children In Need on Friday (November 14). ‌

Across five demanding days, Sara tackled the distance of five complete marathons. Her epic journey began at Kielder Forest, before pushing through Northumberland, Durham, North Yorkshire, and West Yorkshire. ‌

Sara's mammoth trek concluded in Pudsey, Leeds, after she'd battled through the fierce Storm Claudia, which struck during her final day, reports the Mirror .
