Days after the blast near Delhi's Red Fort left at least 12 people dead and scores of others injured, People's Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Centre. The former J&K CM accused the Centre of creating a false sense of normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir while ignoring rising radicalism and insecurity across the country.

Addressing a Working Group Meeting in Srinagar on November 16, Mufti said that the problems of Kashmir ‘echoed’ in front of the Red Fort. She further alleged that “somewhere, that poisonous environment is also responsible for the youth of Kashmir taking a dangerous path”.
