UK snow has been upgraded to a -9C BLIZZARD with 14 towns and cities set to bear the brunt. Birmingham , Blackpool, Stoke on Trent in Staffordshire , Bradford and Leeds could be worst-hit in England.
Maps from WX Charts, which uses Met Desk data, show Edinburgh, Perth, Stirling, Dunfermline and Dundee, Aberdeen and Glasgow face a covering north of the border. Wales could also be hit in Swansea and Cardiff, the GFS model shows, as the Met Office activates a 15-hour snow alert for Tuesday, November 18.
Central Scotland is set to be the coldest region, with the Cairngorms area expected to drop to between –8C and –9C. Northern Scotland will shiver in -4C lows, while Staffordshire faces -4C temperatures, and Yorkshire drops to a bone-chilling -5C.
