ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) — Police in Nigeria said Monday that 25 girls were abducted by bandits from a secondary school in Nigeria’s Kebbi state. One staff member was killed and another injured in the abduction.
The incident occurred at 4:00 a.m., according to police. There were no other details immediately available.
This is the latest school abduction in Nigeria’s northern region where armed groups have targeted school children since 2014.
