CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The murder suspect accused of choking a man to death after an FC Cincinnati match more than two years ago could plead out Monday as he now also faces a wrongful death lawsuit.
Lavontez Davis, 26, is held on a $1 million bond at the Hamilton County jail on two counts of murder and one count each of felonious assault and strangulation in Jason McKinnon’s death.
His murder trial, set for Nov. 3, never happened, and now he is due before a judge at 10 a.m.
If he is convicted of all charges, Davis faces life in prison with parole eligibility after 15 years.
