COLUMBIA, Mo. ( KCTV /Gray News) - A Missouri college student is facing charges after he allegedly strangled a victim who had blocked him on Snapchat.

Maxwell Warren, an 18-year-old student at the University of Missouri, faces charges of first-degree burglary, two counts of felony domestic assault and one count of misdemeanor domestic assault.

A probable cause document alleges Warren had been blocked on Snapchat by a victim Sept. 26. He then showed up uninvited to the victim’s room in a university residence hall, pushed them against the bed and put his hands around their neck, strangling them. He demanded the victim add him back on the social media platform.

The court document states the victim took a picture of the red marks imprinted on their neck after Warren left.
