The foreman of the jury that acquitted Karen Read at her second murder trial said Thursday that prosecutors failed to present evidence to “make her guilty at all” in the 2022 death of her boyfriend.

“During the trial I just was waiting and looking for that ‘aha moment’ and there was none to make her guilty at all,” Charlie DeLoach said during an event at Fisher College, according to footage posted by NBC10 Boston. “It was like, oh, that witness sucked.”

Prosecutors had alleged that Read , 45, backed her SUV in a drunken rage into Boston police officer John O’Keefe early on Jan. 29, 2022, after dropping him off outside a Canton home following a night of bar-hopping.
