Weapons, Chestnut Road

A driver was stopped for speeding and passing other vehicles at 7:38 p.m. Oct. 20. The driver had a warrant out of the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office and the car was towed. He denied having weapons inside the car, but a loaded handgun was found in the trunk during inventory, with the seats folded down and giving the driver access to the trunk from inside the vehicle. He was charged with not notifying the officer of the weapon and weapons possession under disability.
