The Adani Group is planning to significantly scale up capacity in its defence and aerospace arm while also tripling its investment over the next few years, according to a senior company official.

Adani Defence and Aerospace, which has an order pipeline worth $1.2-1.5 billion, has chalked out total capex over the next few years to reach ₹15,000 crore, having already spent ₹5,000 crore so far. It makes a range of unmanned systems, counter drones, small arms and accessories and ammunition.

Its immediate plans include scaling up its small ammunition facility in Kanpur.
