Global automaker Stellantis is planning to increase its direct and indirect supplier value to ₹10,000 crore by the next fiscal, up from ₹4,000 crore, according to Shailesh Hazela, CEO and Managing Director, Stellantis India.
The company has also invested approximately ₹11,000 crore in India and has three manufacturing facilities in India at Hosur, Ranjangaon and Thiruvallur, along with three information and communication technology (ICT) centres across Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Pune, and two R&D centres in Chennai and Pune.
India currently accounts for roughly 5 per cent of the group’s global volume base of 6 million units. The component supply chain has also been significantly scaled up; it now works with 500 local suppliers.
