SUFFOLK, Va. — One man is hurt and another is facing charges following a shooting in Suffolk over the weekend, police said.

Officers were called to Trilogy Loop on Sunday just after 9 p.m. They arrived to find a man suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Investigators said the victim had gotten into a fight with another man, who then shot him. That suspect, 29-year-old Nicholas Adams of Suffolk, was taken into custody without incident.

Adams is charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm in public.
