On Sunday, the sports world stood still as reports surfaced of Kris Boyd being shot and being in critical condition.

The New York Jets cornerback was said to be in critical, but stable, condition after a shooting Sunday in New York City. The NYPD found Boyd shot in the abdomen at around 2 a.m. on West 38th Street near Seventh Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.

As the hours passed, footage would surface of Boyd on the ground and being tended to by police and medical personnel. His shooting followed a verbal dispute that escalated.

Now, we are getting closer to finding out who pulled that trigger and almost took his life.
