Boyd was shot in the abdomen outside Sei Less — a restaurant popular with celebrities — after a dispute turned violent, the New York Post reported, citing law enforcement sources. Article content Article content

The gunman fired two shots shortly after 2 a.m.

Boyd has not been publicly identified as the victim but sources told the Post it was the 29-year-old NFLer before the league confirmed the cornerback was involved in the shooting.

“We are aware of the situation involving Kris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time,” a rep told the outlet.

Was Boyd the target?

Boyd was with a group of friends outside the hot spot when the fight broke out.
