Morrisons has announced it has pulled the plug on plans for its first store in Nuneaton . The national name has confirmed to CoventryLive that the superstore and petrol station off Midland Road proposal will not go ahead.

In fact, in a statement, the company has said that it now plans to sell the land. The proposal for the store was given planning permission back in the summer of 2023.

Morrisons then put in a number of applications in for the store, which would have been its first in the town. This included to the county council to make changes to the road to allow access in and out of the store site.
