BEAUMONT, Texas — A Beaumont man faces charges of operating a prostitution enterprise and aggravated assault after police say he forced multiple women to engage in sex work and assaulted a 20-year-old woman who tried to leave, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in the case.
Kaylan Jamaul Thornton, 25, was arrested on Saturday, November 15, 2025, after an incident at the Northridge Manor apartment complex where officers found the woman who had been beaten, held at gunpoint and forcibly tattooed, the affidavit states. He is currently being held in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility on a first degree felony charge of aggravated promotion of prostitution, according to jail records. His bond has been set at $500,000 on the charge.
