LUMBERTON, Texas — A Southeast Texas man was arrested early Saturday after Lumberton police discovered more than 250 grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop.
Police say an officer stopped a motorcycle around 2 a.m. on South Main Street for expired registration. The driver- identified as Jimmy Russell Oathoudt, 56, of Orange — was found to have multiple felony warrants, including narcotics possession charges out of Tyler County and a parole revocation warrant from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Oathoudt was taken into custody. During a search of his motorcycle’s saddlebags, officers found more than 250 grams of methamphetamine, according to police.
He was booked on a charge of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, a first-degree felony.
