MADISON, Wis. -- Madison police are currently investigating a weapons violation south of the isthmus.
The incident happened at the Burger King located at 719 West Badger Road. Officials say they received a report about the violation just after 8:50 p.m. Sunday.
Multiple people reported hearing gunshots coming from the parking lot of a business in the area, according to police.
Officials confirmed that a drone and a K9 were utilized in an attempt to find the shooter(s).
Police remained on the scene while they investigated. No injuries were reported, and there was no threat to the public.
