A New Brighton woman is accused of bringing a firearm into Butler Memorial Hospital last week.
Alayna Isabelle Wolfe, 18, was charged with one felony count each of firearms not to be carried without a license and receiving stolen property following the Wednesday, Nov. 12, incident.
Police said they responded to an area on North Washington Street for reports of an overdose and found Wolfe appearing dazed but not showing signs of an overdose. An ambulance responded and took Wolfe to Butler Memorial Hospital.
Police said a short time later, officers received reports that a woman had a gun in the Butler Memorial Hospital emergency room. Police responded and spoke with the security guard who took possession of the firearm.
The firearm was a Smith & Wesson .380 with one round in the chamber
