GRUNDY COUNTY, Iowa — Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting that led to the partial closure of Highway 20 overnight.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is involved in the case. The incident occurred between Cedar Falls and Dike, causing the highway to be closed from around 9:30 p.m. to 3 a.m. the following morning.
Emergency vehicles blocked off Highway 20 two miles west of Cedar Falls between Exit 215 for Grundy Road and Exit 224 for Hudson Road. Fortunately, no officers were injured during the incident.
The highway was reopened by 3:30 a.m., and traffic is now moving normally.
