WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Shepherd University (11-1-6) handed Kutztown (13-5-1) a 4-1 setback to capture its second straight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference women's soccer championship at West Chester on Sunday afternoon.
Senior defender Erika Moore scored an unassisted goal at the 2:34 mark to give the Rams a 1-0 lead. Senior midfielder Josie Beezel, who was named tournament MVP, scored on a pass from sophomore midfielder Anaya Lozano at the 7:11 mark to up the lead to 2-0. The Rams took a 3-0 advantage into the break when senior forward Lydia Gable scored on a pass from junior midfielder Reagan Ackermann at the 32:00 mark.
Kutztown scored when Corinne Morgan found the back of the net on a pass from Caroline McDonald at the 63:07 mark to cut the deficit to 3-1. Shepherd responded with
