Hyderabad: Olympian Gurpreet Singh came agonisingly close to becoming the World Champion in the 25m Centre Fire Pistol event, losing the gold medal on inner 10s to Ukraine’s Pavlo Korostylov at the Olympic Shooting Range in Cairo, Egypt.

This is Gurpreet’s second individual medal at the World Championships, the first also a silver won in 2018 at Changwon in the 25m Standard Pistol event. Yann Pierre Louis Fridrici of France claimed the bronze.
