The New York Jets are making a change at quarterback. Tyrod Taylor will get the start Week 12 when the Jets face the Baltimore Ravens.
This is no surprise. We have reached a point where the Jets just could not continue to roll Fields out there.
The Jets signed Fields from Pittsburgh hoping he could channel his physical ability and become a more consistent player than he was in his first four seasons. Instead he has regressed. Fields is having his worst season since his rookie year, and it’s arguably the worst of his career. He seemed on the verge of being benched before the bye against the Bengals, but a knee injury prevented Taylor from playing. Fields was excellent in the Jets’ first win of the season but regressed in the two games out of the bye.
