(WNDU) - The Purdue Boilermakers are the top-ranked men’s basketball team in the country again after the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll was released Monday afternoon.

The Boilermakers (4-0) moved up from No. 2 to No. 1 after being leapfrogged for the top spot last week by Houston despite having more first-place votes than the Cougars.

Purdue got 44 first-place votes after an impressive week that included a road win over then-No. 8 Alabama and a victory over Akron.

As for other regional teams in the poll, Michigan (3-0) is No. 7 (down one spot) while Michigan State (3-0) is No. 17 (same ranking as last week).

Indiana (4-0) still finds itself outside of the Top 25, but the Hoosiers received 65 votes this week.
