Expect to pay more for U.S. Postal Service shipping in 2026.

The change will raise prices by approximately 6.6% for Priority Mail service, 5.1% for Priority Mail Express service, 7.8% for USPS Ground Advantage and 6% for Parcel Select.

The proposed adjustments were approved by the governors of USPS this week and will take effect Jan. 18, 2026. Mailing service prices, including First-Class Mail stamps, will not be raised in January, the USPS announced previously.

Shipping prices are primarily adjusted according to market conditions.

“The governors believe these new rates will keep the Postal Service competitive while providing the organization with needed revenue,” a news release said.
