Detroit Pistons star guard Cade Cunningham is entering an exclusive club of players in the NBA world.
The reigning All-NBA third team selection and face of the Pistons franchise has reached a new six-year endorsement agreement with Nike. As part of the deal, Cunningham will receive his own signature shoe with the brand, he confirmed in a video for Kevin Durant’s sports media company, Boardroom .
"I haven’t really grasped it yet," Cunningham said.
Cunningham, 24, becomes the sixth active NBA player with a signature shoe deal with Nike alongside the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Suns’ Devin Booker, the Lakers’ LeBron James, the Grizzlies’ Ja Morant and Durant with the Rockets.
