2Hackensack man arrested on multiple charges in child sex assault case

HACKENSACK, NJ – A 42-year-old Hackensack man has been arrested and charged in connection with the repeated sexual assault of a juvenile over a nearly yearlong period, following a joint investigation by local and county authorities.

Fernando Sandoval was taken into custody on Wednesday and faces multiple charges including sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal sexual contact. His arrest stems from allegations that he sexually assaulted a juvenile in Hackensack on multiple occasions between December 21 and November 2.
