LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) - John Skelton, the man now charged with killing his three sons 15 years after they disappeared, is being held on $60 million bond.

Skelton was charged last week and arraigned Monday on three counts each of open murder and tampering with evidence. He remains lodged at the Lenawee County Jail, according to Michigan State Police.

Monday’s arraignment on the new charges came less than two weeks before Skelton was set to be released from prison after serving a full sentence for convictions related to not returning the boys to their mother.

Skelton’s sons, — Andrew, Alexander and Tanner — were ages 9, 7 and 5 at the time they were last seen. They were reported missing just after Thanksgiving Day in 2010 following a visit to their father’s house in Morenci for the
