Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson suffered a Lisfranc injury on Sunday against the Lions and could be placed on injured reserve, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter .
It is not considered a season-ending injury, so Johnson could return at the end of the regular season or for the beginning of the playoffs in January. While Johnson is out, the Eagles will start veteran backup Fred Johnson at right tackle.
For an offensive line that is already struggling, Lane Johnson is a massive loss. He’s still one of the best offensive tackles in the NFL, shutting down top pass rushers this season.
Since 2016, the Eagles are 12-23 in the games Johnson hasn’t started.
