Prairie Mountain Health (PMH) has welcomed four new nurse practitioners (NPs) to communities across western Manitoba, thereby strengthening frontline primary care and enhancing access to health services in both rural and First Nations communities.
The new practitioners have begun seeing patients in Rossburn/Shoal Lake, Melita, Canupawakpa First Nation, the Brandon Minor Injury and Illness Clinic, and the Dauphin Primary Care Outreach Clinic. PMH officials say the additions are part of ongoing efforts to recruit and retain health-care professionals while expanding the region’s Graduate Nurse Practitioner program.
