Winnipeg firefighters responded to two separate structure fires early Monday morning, tackling blazes on Princess Street and Inkster Boulevard within an hour of each other.
Crews were first called at 6:50 a.m. to a single-family bungalow in the 500 block of Inkster Boulevard. Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the home and entered to attack the fire from inside. The blaze was brought under control at 7:42 a.m.

All residents were able to exit the house before the crews arrived. Paramedics assessed six people at the scene and transported three to hospital in stable condition. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimate has been released.
