A beloved Australian band has showered WA with some much-appreciated praise, revealing their love for Perth in a new interview.

Sydney-born pop rock band Five Seconds of Summer have become a household name in Australian music, first topping the ARIA charts in 2014 with their double-platinum debut album.

Eleven years later and the band is still hard at work — with their sixth studio album EVERYONE’S A STAR being released to the world on Friday.

In an interview with Buzzfeed Australia promoting their new album and upcoming tour of the same name, the band was asked why they chose Perth as the final stop on their 2026 tour.
