CHINO HILLS, Calif. -- An investigation is underway Monday after eight people - including children - were injured in an explosion at a Chino Hills, California home .
The blast occurred around 3:45 p.m. Sunday at a home in the 4200 block of Sierra Vista Drive.
Video showed pieces of the home scattered all over the street and a gas line built into a wall outside the home was burning for hours.
Firefighters said the gas leak at the property was stopped at 10:45 p.m., but investigators are now working to figure out why the home burst into flames.
Investigators said eight to nine victims were inside the home during the explosion. Paramedics rushed half of them to the hospital, and witnesses said a neighbor took some of the young victims to the hospital by car.
