The Revenue Department of the Gujarat government announced a significant reshuffling of the jurisdictional areas for Stamp Valuation Duty in Ahmedabad. According to a notification issued on November 14, the state government has amended the Gujarat Stamp Act, 1958, to redefine the areas assigned to Deputy Collectors in the region.

The notification, issued by Deputy Secretary to Government Prerak J. Patel, modifies the previous government notification from 1998 and comes into force with immediate effect.

Key Jurisdictional Changes

The amendment specifically targets the allocation of Sub Registrar Offices to the Deputy Collector, Stamp Valuation Duty Organization, for both Division-1 and Division-2 in Ahmedabad.
