Beloved chef and TV host Mynie Steffens, who died at 43 in a helicopter accident in South Africa , was remembered in a memorial on Friday, Nov. 14.

Steffens — a helicopter pilot, cookbook author and TV personality — died after the helicopter she was flying crashed at a citrus farm outside the town of Patensie in the Eastern Cape on Nov. 10, according to IOL , the George Herald and the Cape Argus . Outlets reported that she was spraying oranges at the farm with pesticides before the helicopter had struck power lines.
