DEARBORN, MI - A major Metro Detroit automotive manufacturer formally announced the grand opening of its new world headquarters as part of a years-long project to revitalize company workspaces.

Ford Motor Company unveiled a more detailed look at its new central facility in a release on Sunday, Nov. 16, just a couple of months after announcing the move . Still located within Dearborn, HQ operations are moving roughly three miles from 1 American Road to 20901 Oakwood Blvd.

Crews broke ground on the new 2.1 million-square-foot, four-story headquarters in December 2020, according to the company, after a two-year study led to its final design, which includes steel, glass, concrete, natural stone and wood.
