TRAVERSE CITY, MI – Two people are charged with animal cruelty more than a year after their dog, suffering from starvation and a damaged esophagus, showed up at a local humane society, WLUC reports .
Mighty Mac received his name from caregivers at Cherry Capital Humane Society in Traverse City. He fought for six months to recover, but his condition was terminal and he was euthanized in April .

The humane society has been calling for “Justice for Mighty Mac” since he arrived during October 2024.
On Monday, Sierra Haggerty, 25 and Zachary Schraufnagel, 25, were arraigned in 86 th District Court, the TV station reports. They are each charged with one count of cruelty/abandonme
