It’s been said that too much of a good thing can ruin what made it enjoyable in the first place. That appears to be the case for country music singer Walker Hayes who recently admitted he no longer enjoys the restaurant chain that made him famous.

Hayes is known for his chart-topping 2021 hit “Fancy Like” which references a date night at the local Applebee’s in its lyrics.

"Yeah, we fancy like Applebee’s on a date night/Got that Bourbon Street steak with the Oreo shake/Get some whipped cream on the top, too/Two straws, one check, girl, I got you," the chorus goes.
