WINSTON COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A Winston County woman has been fired from a daycare in Lynn and is facing charges of child abuse, torture, and harassment.

Court documents show Kelley Mann Howard is accused of slapping a one-year-old multiple times and yanking a child by the leg to get them out of a crib.

According to the owner of ABC Enrichment & Learning Center in Lynn, Howard was employed there when these incidents happened.

The daycare said they reviewed video footage and when they saw behavior that violated their policies and standards, she was terminated.

Daycare owners said they notified law enforcement and the Alabama Department of Human Resources, in accordance with state regulations.
