BOSTON — Massachusetts adults would be allowed to possess up to 2 ounces of cannabis for personal use – twice the current limit – under a proposed update to the state’s recreational pot law working its way through Beacon Hill’s legislative process.
The changes, approved Thursday by the Senate Way and Means Committee, are tucked into a package of legislation aimed at improving state oversight of the “maturing” cannabis industry by streamlining the state agency that regulates cannabis pot growers, processors and retailers.
