A man has been arrested after investigators found a dog that was emaciated and severely malnourished in Woodbridge, police said.
The Woodbridge Police Department said animal control officials responded to a Seymour home for possible animal neglect and abuse.

Police found a Cane Corso that was emaciated and several underfed, and said the dog's spine, hips and ribs were "protruding."
The dog was taken to a local veterinarian for life-saving medical treatment, and its health is improving.
Seymour police arrested a 50-year-old man on an arrest warrant on Friday. He was charged with animal cruelty, and was held on a $25,000 bond.
The incident remains under investigation.
