Spanish Fire Department Fire Chief Blair Ramsay and his crew decided it was time to pull out some big boots and fill them with cash, and that they did on Nov. 8, outside Gamble’s Highway Variety store in the town of Spanish.

Ramsay says that it is the first ‘Boot Drive’ in many years held by the Spanish Fire Department. Ramsay has been the fire chief there for almost three years. The firefighters had the trucks and boots ready at Gamble’s from 3 to 6 p.m. and in the three hours raised $310 that will be donated to Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
