LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A survivor, her family, and others gathered outside of Lufkin City Hall Monday in a plea for justice, saying an investigation into a fatal wreck failed to deliver.
The wreck took place in December of 2022 when a small Honda sedan made a lane change on South Front Street, where it was rear-ended by a Ford Bronco. Anastasia Gray, 19, Antownique Robertson,18, both of Carthage, and Xzavien Grimble, 20, of Jasper, died at the scene.
The Honda’s driver, Tyler Christian Lewis, of Jasper, was arrested and charged with three counts of intoxicated manslaughter. The driver who rear-ended the Honda, Michael Allman, was not charged.
Those gathered at the city hall Monday are asking the Lufkin police for answers, after records show police allowed Allmen to leave the scene wit
