In a striking shift from his earlier opposition, President Donald Trump said Monday he will sign the bill to release the Epstein files if Congress passes it and it makes it to his desk.
"I'm all for it," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
"We'll give them everything," Trump said, "but don't talk about it too much."
"I don't want it taking away from really the greatness of what the Republican party has accomplished," Trump added.
The comments echoed remarks he made Sunday evening which marked a startling reversal after previously fighting the proposal as a growing number of those in his own party supported it.
The House is heading toward a vote on a bill as soon as Tuesday, where it will almost certainly pass.
It already has support from a majority of the House, and more Republicans are expected to vote for it as they respond to demands from their voters.
The tougher test will come in the Senate, where Republicans hold a 53–47 majority.
