LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A man convicted of a violent stabbing outside a north Lincoln bar in March 2024 has been sentenced to nearly a century in prison.

Eleazar Morales, 27, was found guilty of first-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony on Oct. 17.

A Lancaster County district court judge on Monday sentenced Morales to 90-96 years in prison, with 598 days of credit for time served.

The second suspect in the stabbing, Joel Martinez, 40, pleaded no contest to accessory to a Class 2 or 2A felony and was sentenced to one year and six months in prison.

On March 9 around 1:30 a.m., responders were dispatched to the bar near Bair Avenue and North 32nd Street. Officers found a 36-year-old man bleeding profusely from a neck wound.
