GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. —

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office investigated a report of threats made by a student at Pleasant Hill Elementary School.

Deputies said the school resource officer was notified after an 11-year-old threatened to shoot other students.

Investigators conducted a search of the student’s home and found that all weapons were secured.

Authorities said due to the student’s age, the matter will be resolved by Georgetown County School District’s discipline policy.
