OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - The Owensboro Street Department is working on their annual “War on Potholes” initiative.
Over the last two weeks, the public has reported where major potholes are in the city.
Now, for the next two weeks, crews will be going through the list and working on repairing those streets.
Officials say their goal is to have every pothole in the city patched as quickly as possible, before colder weather comes.
Crew members say the public looks forward to this initiative.
“I think they like to see action being done. We drive over these things and they’re just annoying and you know we can fix it and make a difference, then that makes a big deal in the eyes of public and we’re here to help,” says crew leader Aaron Brown.
